Safe travels, delegates!
Next week, our delegation of 11 students and 2 faculty members will set off for Costa Rica! Our students will study Spanish and learn about Costa Rica’s rich history at the Intercultura Costa Rica Spanish School in their custom-designed beachfront campus in Playa Sámara, Guanacaste. Spanish courses will be given in modern, air conditioned classrooms with a view of the ocean, and sometimes teachers will hold class outside in the gardens or on the beach under the shade of palm trees. The school will provide our students with computers and free WiFi, tropical gardens leading straight onto the sand (students have time for a quick dip in the ocean during their break!), as well as student social and study areas, rancho, fridge, hammocks, a lounge and outdoor showers. In addition to the immersive study program, our students will mingle with the local population, visit beach restaurants, experience surfing and kayaking, and learn firsthand about the region’s indigenous history.
